Tilda launches first special edition fabric collection

By Emily Peagram 07 Jun 2022

June saw the worldwide release of Tilda’s first special edition collection, Chic Escape. This fabric collection is inspired by the restoration of derelict French chateaus and the group of people, who dedicate their time to bringing life back to these once grand homes.

Stepping away from its usual whimsical and colourful prints, Chic Escape features larger patterns, paired with bolder and deeper colours that conjure up a sense of effortless elegance associated with vintage French pottery and floral fabrics, while still possessing the same meticulous level of detail as in their smaller prints. The team at Tilda have also designed an additional coordinating print, Daisyfield, which is available in ten shades and utilises details from Wildgarden – a print in the main collection. All 20 fabrics in the main collection and the ten Daisyfield blenders can all be ordered in bolts, by the metre or a selection of pre-cut bundles from the exclusive UK distributor Groves.

After making the decision to divide the year into three collections, spring/summer, autumn/winter and a special edition in-between, the special editions will allow Tone Finnanger and the team at Tilda to test out new ideas and looks without too much emphasis on the season.
