Global crafting company Stampin’ Up! has celebrated its 30 year anniversary.
The company was founded in October 1988 by two sisters from Utah. Looking for a way to express their creativity while establishing meaningful relationships with others, the young mothers decided to turn the idea of crafting together in a relaxed atmosphere into a business model.
Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength, expanding to encompass tens of thousands of demonstrators across the globe. Headquartered in Riverton, Utah, the company’s presence now spans the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Austria, the Netherlands, and Japan.
Stampin’ Up! is known for its exclusive line of decorative stamp sets and accessories for paper crafting, scrapbooking and home décor. The company operates via a network of independent, self-employed sales consultants, known as Demonstrators.
Paula Gorry (pictured), Demonstrator Development Manager, Stampin’ Up! UK, said: “Thirty years ago our founders took a leap of faith and stepped into the crafting world- not realising that their decision would lead them to create a company that would go on to touch the hearts of thousands of people across the globe!
“The success the company has enjoyed over the past 30 years is largely thanks to our amazing demonstrators. By sharing what they love and teaching and helping others, they have played a huge role in helping us become the company we are today.”
