Speaker Line-up Revealed for CHSI Stitches 2021

CHSI Stitches has announced its full programme of speakers, bringing a broad range of business experts to the Insights Hub at the trade show at the NEC, Birmingham from 5th to 6th September 2021.
Presentations kick off at 9.45am on Sunday 5th September with Linda Jones, independent research consultant from LJ&P Research Specialists, revealing the findings of this year’s Craft Report exclusively for CHSI Stitches visitors. Focusing on pandemic performance and capitalising on change, Linda will present the latest data and insight on the craft industry.
Organisers, ICHF Events, have signed up expert speakers from outside the craft industry to give CHSI visitors a different perspective and new thinking. Miya Knights, ranked as one of the UK’s top retail technology industry influencers with vast experience in enterprise technology and loyalty and promotions strategies, will present Omnichannel Retail – How to win with customers in a digital world at 1.30pm on Sunday 5th September. At 11am on Monday 6th September Andrew Davis, creative social media speaker and one of the founding team for digital radio station BBC Radio 1Xtra, will deliver a practical guide to creating engaging social media content to target and convert audiences in his presentation, Putting the So What into social media in today’s world. Following Andrew at 12.15pm, Cate Trotter, named by LinkedIn as one of the top 15 most listened to professionals in the UK, presents a guide for retailers to find new ways to engage, sell and grow profits in Tap into Retail Trends.
Providing visitors with a strong craft industry focus will be Steffi Stern, offering the benefit of her experience in craft, business and management with ideas, insights and a check-list for making a shop more successful with her presentation at 12.15pm on Sunday 5th September (repeated at 4pm on Monday 6th September). Innovative designer, upcycling and remaking champion Emma Friedlander Collins will talk visual marketing at 11am on Sunday 5th September while Ashley Payne, Chief Marketing Officer at Ideal Shopping Direct shares his knowledge and experience of e-commerce with visitors at 1.30pm on Monday 6th September. Presenting on Sunday 5th and Monday 6th September, fabric expert and consultant Jane Makower looks at sustainable textiles, saving the planet and surviving in business focusing on the future shape of textiles, upcycling and slow fashion.
On Sunday 5th at 2.45pm, creative brand strategist and founder of Silver Nutshell Jewellery, Anna Davenport, will share insights on starting a craft business. Anna has over 35 years of experience working in the Creative Industries, having opened up new markets and created portfolios of best-selling media brands.
