New Judges Announced for the Annual Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery 2022

By Emily Peagram 12 Jul 2022

British brand Hand & Lock are pleased to announce the 2022 judges for this year’s Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery, with iconic industry names and crafters including haute couture milliner Philip Treacy, fashion designer and TV presenter Esme Young, visual artist Cornelia Parker, author and fashion director at The Times Anna Murphy, along with Anthea Godfrey, Jenny King and Alastair Macleod.

Since 2000, Hand & Lock have promoted a programme of embroidery education and advancement by creating the annual international embroidery competition ‘The Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery’. The global competition gives aspiring embroidery students and designers the opportunity to showcase their talents and gain vital exposure and experience. All finalists in the 2022 Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery will be invited to a VIP awards evening in London in November 2022 where the winners will be announced and presented with their prizes.
