Hobbycraft reveals soaring sales for ceramic decorations

By Emily Peagram 21 Sep 2021

Personalisation is key this Christmas, and Hobbycraft has seen sales for its ceramic decoration blanks soar as consumers look to make this year’s festivities extra special.

The company first reported a spike in searches for Christmas back in April, but in recent weeks it has seen sales of its ceramic decorations up by 820% compared to the same period last year. With searches for ceramic decorations also on the rise, Hobbycraft has responded with in-store and online brush lettering workshops to help consumers make the most of their decorations.

Katherine Paterson, Customer Director at Hobbycraft commented: “It is great to see our customers getting into the Christmas spirit earlier than ever. After what has been a challenging year, and with most people having smaller celebrations or cancelled celebrations last year, I’m confident that customers will be looking to make this Christmas a memorable one as they look to celebrate with those that they’ve missed and want to make memories with. People are also more inclined at Christmas to make a personalised gift for a loved one – something handmade is more likely to get kept, and our range of versatile products, wealth of inspiration and advice, and superb seasonal workshop programme will help our customers to create something permanent that is filled with thought and love.”
