By Emily Peagram 12 Aug 2020

GMC Distribution is pleased to announce that a new client publisher, Monsa, will join its list. Launching this August 2020, titles are available now. GMC’s client portfolio already includes Sterling Publishing, The Taunton Press, Leisure Arts, Tuva Publishing, Sixth & Spring, Quail Studio and selected Penguin Random House US imprints such as Sasquatch Books, Interweave, Blue Star Press and Watson-Guptill.

Monsa Publications were founded in 1982 and are based in Barcelona. They produce dual language titles (in English and Spanish) which express a love of art, creativity and originality. Their eclectic list reflects their curiosity and openness to new projects and ideas; with each book offering attractive and good quality visual content, along with high production values. Monsa publish such an interesting variety – they have; art books covering popular culture; awesome illustration work; inspirational and aspirational architecture books filled with green and practical ideas; and some superb craft, paper art and colouring books making them a welcome additional to the GMC family.

As a leading distributor GMC sells an extensive range of books across both traditional trade and specialist craft & gift markets and the addition of the stylish new Monsa Publications list is something we are really excited about as it will bring a new range of titles to our customers and we expect this list to bring new customers into the fold. GMC’s sales director Michael Robb had this to say; “We are very happy to welcome Monsa Publications to our list and look forward to introducing old and new customers to an even greater selection of products. Monsa’s strong mix of beautifully-illustrated books on popular culture, art and craft and stylish guides to contemporary architecture deserve a wide audience. GMC Distribution continues to grow our extensive range even in these difficult and uncertain times. The demand for quality art and craft books has remained high throughout this pandemic.”

Monsa Publications founder Jose Morales has said; “We are very happy to be part of the GMC Distribution catalogue, a partner that from the beginning has shown professionalism, empathy and a very positive attitude towards our editorial direction. As Michael says, Monsa is a strong mix of many things, things that we love, inspiring, and that bring us that happiness so much desired when opening a book, with its image and content, and that are part of our life for more than 35 years. Despite the current times we are all going through, our objective as a publisher remains the same, to offer fresh and visually exciting avant-garde content to the publishing world, and to see them stocked in all manner of bookshops everywhere.”
