Discover the art of the paper flower at London Craft Week

By Mark Hayhurst 26 Apr 2019

Discover the art of paper-flower crafting with Pom Pom Factory and Italian paper maker Cartotecnica Rossi.

Hosted by Karen Hsu, at Old Spitalfields Market, this four-day experience, over May 9-12, celebrates the inspiring art of crafting realistic and inventive paper flowers, featuring a floral installation created with London Flower School, demonstrations, workshops, a pop-up store and talk.

As part of the London Craft Week, Pom Pom Factory is inviting you to celebrate the commencement of spring with their underwater themed pop-up.

As the warmer months are ushered in, they would like to remind you of the enchanting beauty and emergence of flowers at this time of the year.

Pom Pom Factory will showcase not only the delicate artistry of paper flower crafting but also bring it together with real flowers; to form an intermingling focal point of underwater elements.

For the opening of their pop-up, they have created a Floral Garden that is inspired by coral reefs against the ocean’s pastel hues not beyond a sunset’s soft glow.

Karen Hsu, founder of Pom Pom Factory, said: “I always experiment with new techniques, colour combinations, and arrangement styles. My fascination with underwater depths, what lies beneath and all hidden possibilities, led me to forge our collaboration with the London Flower School for London Craft Week.”
