Create and Craft recruit new guest demonstrator through ITV’s The Big Audition

ITV viewers are being given the chance to go behind the scenes of the casting world to witness real people being cast for real jobs in the brand new factual entertainment series, The Big Audition.
Episode three of the six-part series airs on October 19 at 9pm and will feature Create and Craft, the UK’s largest craft TV shopping channel.
In The Big Audition, the Create and Craft casting panel - composed of Lindsay-Jane Vines; Managing Director, Rebecca Edwards; Presentation and Production Manager and Emily Chapman; Presentation Content Strategy Manger - are on the hunt for a new craft guest demonstrator.
Lindsay-Jane said: “From our potential craft guest demonstrators we were looking for a number of things; first off they needed strong crafting knowledge, secondly we wanted them to be warm and engaging and bounce off our presenter Nigel May, and finally they needed to keep their cool in a Live environment. All the auditionees who came through brought something different to the table, and it was great to work with The Big Audition to find our latest crafting expert.”
Create and Craft Presenter Nigel May was on hand at The Big Audition studios in order to help support and prompt the hopefuls. Nigel said: “It was my role to guide the potential candidates through their audition and make sure they felt at ease when they were selling and demonstrating a product, but, of course, I had to make sure that they knew what they were talking about too! Some of them did, and others….well, maybe not so much. But they were all brilliantly memorable for different reasons and I think that the successful individual is a worthy addition to Create and Craft. The entire process was a total joy and I’m not ashamed to say that I shed a tear of happiness for the person we chose as they were so overjoyed at being able to indulge in their favourite passion, crafting, and be told that they were excellent at it.”
The Big Audition airs Friday nights at 9pm on ITV.
