By Mark Hayhurst 09 Aug 2018
ICHF Events has confirmed that it will release a major new craft industry report at CHSI Stitches 2019.
The inaugural Craft Report was revealed at the 2018 show, providing exclusive industry insights and trend predictions. The 2019 Craft Report has just been commissioned and will see an entirely new report produced with the research announced exclusively at the trade event in February.
Dominic Fleming, CHSI Stitches show director said: “The Craft Report was welcomed by professionals across the industry in 2018. It’s clear that this level of in depth market research has a key role to play in the development of the industry. Things move rapidly so it’s imperative that reports such as this keep up, hence ICHF Events commissioning brand new research to be revealed at the 2019 show.”
The 2018 report was based on data collected from more than 3,000 people in the UK. Covering topics such as increasing consumer spend, marketing opportunities around wellness, the importance of social media, the new face of craft and how to be a source of customer inspiration, The Craft Report presentation provided the CHSI Stitches audience with key action points to take away and apply to their own businesses.
The new report for 2019 will include qualitative and quantitative research covering key new trends, industry predictions, new and expanding markets and consumer insights. Leading market research company, Linda Jones & Associates have been commissioned to research and produce the report.
Linda Jones, Partner said: “It’s a pleasure to be working with the craft industry again. In such a vibrant and ever-changing marketplace, robust and reliable market research plays a key role in understanding consumer behaviour and how to best meet their needs. This research is vital to any retailer in the creative craft industry.”
