Handmade in the Highlands

16 Sep 2020
By Emily Peagram

Scottish cross stitch designers Handmade In The Highlands have a new range of kits coming out onto the market just in time for Christmas: this range is designed to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and takes its name from a famous speech of Winston Churchill’s, made in the House of Commons in June 1940 – “Finest Hour”. Available in both 27- Count Evenweave and Chart-only format, it’s a range aimed at men who may be either stitchers themselves, as a gift for aviation enthusiasts or as presents for fathers who may be ex- servicemen. There are six kits in the range – Spitfire, Hurricane, ‘Dambusters’ Lancaster, Mosquito, Sunderland and a map of 11 Group Fighter Command RAF stations during June 1940. These kits are not in shops yet, and if you would be interested in stocking the kits in your premises, contact Handmade In The Highlands by phone on 01408 633097 or by email at
