ICHF Events strengthens team with two new creative development appointments

ICHF Events, has announced two new roles in a new show development department with the appointment of Emma Leamon and Jodie Firmin as creative development managers.

The new department and roles will focus on the creative presentation and content of the shows to meet the changing expectations of audiences and potential audiences.

Leamon and Firmin will work closely together using their own creative skills to ensure the shows mirror industry trends and changes.

Leamon has a photography and visual arts background as well as experience working for ICHF events, liaising closely with exhibitors.

She said: “My focus will be to create strong visual impact and content to enhance visitor experience and interaction at the shows. Visitors and exhibitors will see a real difference in the look and feel of the shows by autumn 2017.

“This is a busy and exciting time for ICHF Events and I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.”

Firmin has extensive experience in the events industry, she said: “We want to make an immediate impact on the look of the shows, starting from the show entrances and throughout to provide visitors with an exciting, whole show experience.

“The changes in presentation and content will be seen across all our digital platforms as well as at the shows.”

ICHF Events managing director, Simon Burns, said, “We are confident that both Emma and Jodie have the creativity and drive to develop our events. We recognise that our shows need to remain relevant to our loyal audience base and include features and demonstrations to attract new visitors.

“Our investment in these two new creative roles will strengthen our position as the market leader and enable us to move forward with events in the future.”

ICHF events organise more than 25 shows in the UK each year including CHSI Stitches, Europe’s number one trade show for the art, craft, needlecraft, fabric and hobby industry.
