Dawn Bibby Closes Topaz Crafts
By Zoe Monk 22 Jun 2012
Crafty TV favourite Dawn Bibby has announced that she has decided to close her store, Topaz Crafts.
Dawn is a popular personality of the creative world and a regular face on Create & Craft TV and she broke the news via her blog last week.
Topaz Crafts has been running since 1994 and has grown into a hotspot of crafty goodies including scrapbooking supplies, rubber stamps and other accessories. The store recently located from a large mill complex in Lancashire into an extensive enclosure in the Dawn Bibby Design Studio and Store, but will now solely operate online.
Here is an extract from Dawn’s official announcement:
After giving this a lot of thought and suffering many sleepless nights whilst I decided what to do; I have started to make plans to finally close down my shop.
In truth, I am finding it very difficult to balance everything that is going on in my life now. With the extra demands being put onto me, it’s now taking a toll on my health, so I have had to make one of the toughest decisions of my life. That of closing down my shop.
As you may know, I had intended to do this a while ago, but I thought that I would be able to keep all the plates spinning in the air, sadly that hasn’t proven to be the case.
This decision will enable me to concentrate and focus on other things including the development of my Dawn Bibby Designs and, of course, make relocating to Peterborough much easier as well.
I want to take this moment to sincerely thank you all for your custom and support for Topaz over the years. You have all been an important part of this incredible journey.
From the very beginning, when Topaz was just a little clothing and craft shop and all through the twists and turns in the road and reaching to the point where we are now. Thank you all so very much for your custom and for your support for Topaz Crafts.
Look out for our September issue featuring an exclusive interview with Dawn about her role at Create & Craft TV, the shop closure and much more!
